This Pride Week, we're sharing Position Statement and Commitment Plan on Gender Diversity.
Over the past several years, Mokami has worked to make our programs and services more welcoming and inclusive of women and gender diverse people. We've learned from our community, strengthened relationships with partner organizations, and reflected on how our values show up in practice. This document brings that work together by sharing both our position and the commitments that will continue to guide us.
We're especially grateful to Quadrangle NL, Trans Support NL, Safe Alliance, and the community members who shared their time, perspectives, and trust throughout this process. Your guidance has helped shape this work in meaningful ways.
We know that a document alone doesn't create belonging; people do. We hope this document offers clarity about where we stand, how we hope to continue growing, and the kind of community we're working to build together.
